He Who paid the price of His blood for us did not ask a price from us, because He redeemed us not with gold or silver but with His precious blood. Therefore, you owe that price with which you have been bought. Even though He does not always demand it, you still owe it. Buy Christ for yourself, then, not with what few men possess, but with what all men possess by nature but few offer on account of fear. What Christ claims from you is His.

The news on Father Gregory is tentatively good. His problem apparently is nothing new and serious – just a side effect of successful treatments in the past. Still, he is to take it easy for a few days. So:
- Liturgy for mid-Pentecost is cancelled Wednesday morning April 28
- It sounds as if 1st Houris canceled until Thursday, although that service can be served without Father Gregory.
Christ is risen!
Due to some physical problems of Father Gregoy (whom remember in your prayers always),
- Paschal Hours will be served at 5:30 pm April 24 in lieu of Vespers;
- 3rd and 6th hours will be served April 25 at 9:00 am, followed by
- Typica without Distribution at 9:30 am.
Reader John (Roger Bennett) is willing to pay for coffee hour at Saint Alexis every six weeks of so if some poor college student(s) will buy it and set it up.
He just can’t set up coffee hour decently in addition to singing Matins and Liturgy.
Matrix Lifeline reportedly is a bit short of volunteers for its Sweet Celebration of Life at Faith Community Center, May 1 from 6 pm to 9 pm (volunteers may be needed earlier and later). You can volunteer by calling Audrey Joseph at 742-1533.
Reader John (Roger Bennett) is Chairman of the Board and Father Deacon Alex is Vice Chairman of this Pregnancy Resource Center. Students for Life at Purdue likely will be providing volunteers, too.
